We can block websites on Chrome browser using ‘Block Site’ extension by Chrome. Let us see the steps to it :-
- Visit URL – https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions on chrome.
- After the Chrome webstore is opened, Search for ‘website blocker’ in its search option. Select ‘Add to Chrome’ button in ‘Block Site’ extension.
- After the installation of extension finishes, at the top right corner the extension icon should appear.
- Now to block any website, visit that site on chrome. After the website is opened, click on the ‘Block Site’ icon created. Click button(Block this site) to block the site should appear in the dropdown mini window of extension.
- The website will be blocked successfully. If you try to open the blocked website again, then it will not open.
Unblock the Website
- To unblock the website click on the setting icon at the top right corner of ‘Block Site’ extension icon.
- A new page will open with ‘Block site’ extension settings. Click on the minus icon besides the website you wish to unblock.
- The website will be successfully unblocked and can be opened in the chrome browser.
