How to enable Remote Desktop Windows 10

Remote desktop helps you connect to a remote system from another system. The remote desktop’s screen will get visible to you on your system and you can perform any action on it.

Below are the steps to enable remote desktop on Windows 10:

  • Go to Settings from the Start button.
  • Now open System from the settings opened in new window.
  • Select ‘Remote Desktop’ from the menu list in the left side.
  • Now a toggle will appear of ‘Enable Remote Desktop’ . Select the toggle button to enable remote desktop.
  • A confirmation box will appear. Click on ‘Confirm’ option.
  • You have successfully enabled Remote Desktop.

Important Note :-

Please check your Windows 10 edition before enabling remote desktop. If your edition is ‘Windows 10 Home’ then you cannot access Remote Desktop, but if edition is ‘Windows 10 Pro’ then only you can enable it. To check your edition go to Settings -> About and check for Edition under Windows Specifications.

You can upgrade your Windows edition to access Remote Desktop.
